Purpose

It's been too many days since I've last blogged!! Before I begin to fill you all in, I'd like to take a moment to ask my readers to pray for my aunt and my cousins. My uncle passed away suddenly last Thursday night. He was only 68 years old. Please pray for comfort and peace that passes all understanding during this time for them.

House Update: I continue to go by my house often. Things are really moving along. I have a fireplace, cabinets, countertops, tile, hardwoods, appliances, landscaping and it's painted on the inside. I get more and more excited each time I go by..I can't wait to move in!

The kitchen...LOVE the blacksplash!

Labor Day weekend: I spent the weekend with my family at my parents' house for the holiday weekend. Daphne and Ben stayed with us for one night so Ben could enjoy the "doat", and one of my aunts stayed the whole weekend. (GG, you should have been there!) We had a blast! I always eat so much while I'm there...my brother and mother can cook up a storm! We took the boat and jet ski out one last time for this season, and somehow we seemed to talk my mother and JJ into getting into the tube...Mama hated it, JJ loved it! I have pictures...ladies, if you are reading this, forgive the one picture...my audience needed to see it...if you object too much, let me know and I'll take it down! We also watch Auburn play the first game of the season...so far so good I would say. I'm really interested to see what the rest of this season brings. So far, I can proudly yell WAR EAGLE!

Proof of the entertainment that I got to pull in the tube behind the jetski...they look a little scared don't they!

Now on to the real purpose of this post. I got the chance to attend the taping of CMT Invitation Only: Carrie Underwood this past Saturday...amazing, but that's beside the point. She sang a new tear jerker of a song called "Temporary Home" which was about how Earth is just our temporary home. That song coupled with the sudden death of my uncle really got me thinking and got my emotions stirred. I did a lot of driving this weekend between Nashville and Talladega, so I had a lot of thinking time. Have you ever been inspired to be the best you that you can be? I was this weekend, but where do you start....I realized that you must begin on your knees! Start today, this moment, being the best person you can be...the best YOU that you can be! I'm pretty excited about my new journey. I've also been praying about and considering my "purpose" for several months now...I tell you the answer hit me like a ton of bricks on my way home on Saturday night. Let me tell you how refreshing it is to finally realize what your purpose is in life. I feel mine is a tall order, but I know if I stay on my knees, it will be so easy. Are you being the best you that you can be? If not, why not start today? Tomorrow might not be available, as proven to me this past week. Do you know what your purpose is? If not, find it....I can assure you that it makes all the difference!
