What a weekend!

This weekend started on Thursday with trying to make my sister feel special on her birthday. Since then, I have done nothing but go go go! Saturday, she and I drove to my grandparents to spend time with them. She, my dad, brother and I drove to see the lake lot where my parents will be retiring. Before we left, we got to eat at the best southern cooking restaurant around...it may rival Paula Deen!! If you ever make it to Cedar Bluff, Alabama, you MUST eat at Fibbers!

We spent the rest of the day hanging out with my mom's side of the family. I will post a video of my brother entertaining us tomorrow.

Today was a BUSY day. We started by celebrating my PawPaw's 91st birthday with my dad's side of the family. My dad and his siblings cooked a true southern meal!

After leaving the birthday lunch, my sister and I headed to Odenville, Alabama where we helped to host a shower for my cousin's fiance. I was also able to go see and hold a 3 day old baby while in Odenville.

I'm glad to be home now. I have a lot to do to get ready for the week ahead! Before I go, I must tell you about the latest with my favorite artist!

Because I had family obligations, I missed the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday. If Carrie is ever at the Grand Ole Opry on the weekend, I always go! I had a gut feeling that Carrie would be invited to be a member of the Opry....I am sick that I missed it because they invited her, but I do have tickets to see her induction in May!!!!
