Idol Gives Back

I was really touched by the stories tonight on Idol Gives Back. Many of them took on a whole new meaning for me since my godson is currently an orphan in Africa. On a side note, the sermon at church tonight was about missions. It's amazing how it all ties together for me. Maybe I'm being called to do it...we'll have to wait on God for that one. I just know that for now my heart is heavy for those in need. For those of you who didn't watch it, the show ended with the current contestants singing one of my favorite praise and worship songs "Shout to the Lord". What a great 2 1/2 hours of tv! My favorite show has my favorite musician on it (in case you haven't figured that one out, it's Carrie), and my favorite praise song is sung.In case you missed it...watch here. Isn't it amazing that a show as big as American Idol will praise our Lord nationally!



On a final note, I turned in my resignation at my current job on Monday....that is a story for a different post, different day....stay tuned!
