I went to see Carrie and Keith perform in Atlanta last night. As you know, from my previous post, I won a backstage pass to meet Carrie though the fan club. It was AWESOME! The fan club members were placed at the back of the line (I'm assuming so that we could have more time with her) so I was able to watch her interact with many different people before me. She treated everyone so great, so personable. The first line of a Stevie Wonder song came to my head after I met her...Isn't she lovely. She's as beautiful in person, so tiny, and just made everyone feel important...ok, enough gushing. As for my experience, I hugged her when I first walked up to her. We talked briefly about Birmingham and a newspaper that I had her sign. I did get a picture with her, but I look terrible so you guys won't be seeing that one! Here are the 2 things she signed for me.
The concert was AWESOME! I know I said it when I saw her in Biloxi, but I'll say it again...she is growing into an awesome performer! I can't wait to see what she's like in a couple of years!
I stayed for Keith Urban this time....WOW!!! He is an excellent guitarist and he puts on a great show....not to mention he is HOT! Check these pictures of him out.

On another note, I met 2 ladies that I believe are bigger Keith fans than I am a Carrie fan. They are from the UK, and they flew in, over 4000 miles, JUST to see Keith in concert. They told me that the saw him last night, the night before, and they were headed to Kentucky tonight for the show. They missed Carrie's part of the show. When the finally got there, I told them that they missed the best part of the show, in which one of the ladies replied in a thick British accent, "I can't stand her." However, they were slightly apologetic when they found out I was a fan! I hope I'm having as much fun as they did when I am their age!
These are my new friends who have to be the biggest Keith Urban fans ever!

Whoever took those pictures did a GREAT job!! Keith is a hottie! I'm glad you got to meet Carrie.
I'm always surprised at other people's surprise at how good Keith Urban is in concert. The guy has been getting stellar reviews for years. Even when he was the opening act, he got better reviews than the headliner. He didn't win Entertainer of the Year for nothing. I'm glad you stayed this time to see his show.

I didn't care for Keith. Too full of himself and I don't like his music. Those women came all the way overseas to see his show? Good for them I suppose but if they don't like Carrie they don't know a great singer when they hear it anyway.
Glad you had a good time. I've never seen Carrie in concert, but I think she has a great voice. I have seen Keith before, and I agree that he definitely puts on a fantastic show.
Hi there, it is lynne whom you met at the show. thank you so much for the photo. it is the only one mum and I had taken whilst on our whistle stop tour. Once again I would like to apologise to you if we offended you. We had never heard of Carrie (keith name not known in UK very well) and the first night in Duluth we could only hear her shouting above the music (Keith sound was not 100% either). We have not heard her sing except that one night. But I do think that we all have different taste in music and life in general and if you like a certain group/singer than great!
We had a great time and made even more special by meeting lovely people just like you and we will alwaya have our memories. My mum is 72 and she said she wont be able to make a trip like that again but thyought she did fantastic. take care Lynne and mum (Elsie)
